About Mariann

About Me

I’m Mariann Hornyák, founder of Emergers.
I am a certified trainer, an ICF-accredited coach, and an international economist with a master’s degree, currently pursuing my PhD at the Faculty of Economics.

I have worked for several years with various United Nations organizations and multinational corporations, and since 2013, I have been supporting executives and organizations as an executive advisor and organizational development specialist.

As an internationally accredited holistic nutrition and lifestyle consultant, I believe that true performance starts from within.
I am passionate about exploring the intersections of modern neuroscience and ancient sciences like Ayurveda and Eastern healing traditions.
Beyond professional expertise, I offer a safe, supportive space for those seeking real, lasting transformation.

For over 15 years, I’ve been working with Emergers.
I’ve seen leaders burn out, parents lose confidence, children fall silent.
And I’ve learned this: most people are not lazy. Not weak. Not broken.
They simply haven’t been taught how they truly function.

I, too, tried for years to fit into systems.
I worked in both nonprofit and corporate worlds — as a leader, as a helper.
I’ve pushed too hard. I’ve gotten stuck. I’ve suffered quietly while looking successful from the outside.

And then I started taking back the reins.
Learning the language of my body.
Understanding the way my nervous system works.
Slowing down — to regain momentum.
Operating from my own rhythm, not from anyone else’s expectations.

Now, this is the work I do:
With leaders, professionals, and parents who know they don’t want to live like machines.
Who are ready to show up authentically — in their work, relationships, and inner world.

I don’t give out motivational quotes.
I offer structure that fits you.
Aligned performance.
And systems you won’t need to escape from — because they’re built for you, around you.

If you feel it’s time to return to yourself —
as a leader, as a parent, or simply as you —
let’s talk.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with clients across the Maghreb, Europe, and the United States, and have gained unique experiences — including navigating challenging environments such as the Democratic Republic of Congo.
My professional background is supported by a range of international certifications and academic achievements.
While the journey has been rich and formative, my focus remains on how this expertise can best support your growth.
If you would like to learn more about my professional path, I am always happy to share it in a personal conversation.

What more important for you is that who I am today

I am a genuine and caring person who leads by example, and nothing brings me greater fulfillment than driving change, inspiring unity, and motivating others with authentic enthusiasm.
Integrity is at the core of who I am.

I first studied economics, marketing, and business-related subjects back in 1996.
It wasn’t until I turned 30 that I began exploring neuroscience — and it feels like it was just yesterday.
I still remember how little I understood at the beginning!
Since then, I like to believe I have gained enough knowledge to no longer feel lost in the field.
Of course, we continue learning something new every day — as long as we remain open and receptive.
I have a deep admiration for neuroscience and behavioral studies.

I am not afraid to admit that I believe in fairy tales and miracles.
I believe in Goodness, and I believe in the immense Potential that each of us carries — even if we sometimes hide it away.
Some hide it so well that it seems invisible, yet it is always there.

I am someone who will answer your questions — or at the very least, ask you a better one — without sending you an invoice first.
My door is always open, and I welcome your thoughts, your concerns, and your ideas.
I want to hear your plans.
More importantly, I want to inspire you to think, to dream, and to plan boldly.
